Tag | Totally Should’ve Book Tag

Wow, it has been ages since I’ve done a tag! I really need to get back into my groove of posting at least 3 times a week. Haha. Anyway, I was tagged for this by three amazing bloggers: Ashleigh @ A Frolic Through Fiction, Kayla @ Booked Solid, and Anna @ My Bookish Dream. Check out all their blogs!❤ The idea behind this tag, is that I name a book/series/author…etc that should’ve (insert question here). I’m really excited to do this one! ^.^

Totally Should’ve…Had A Spin Off Series

I can’t even believe that there was never a spin-off series for Harry Potter!? PLEASE, J.K. ROWLING, PLEASE! IT’S NOT TOO LATE!

Review | Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

“The truth is what I make it. I could set this world on fire and call it rain.”

 photo Synopsis_zpseza8bbqr.png

This is a world divided by blood – red or silver.

The Reds are commoners, ruled by a Silver elite in possession of god-like superpowers. And to Mare Barrow, a seventeen-year-old Red girl from the poverty-stricken Stilts, it seems like nothing will ever change.

That is, until she finds herself working in the Silver Palace. Here, surrounded by the people she hates the most, Mare discovers that, despite her red blood, she possesses a deadly power of her own. One that threatens to destroy the balance of power.

Fearful of Mare’s potential, the Silvers hide her in plain view, declaring her a long-lost Silver princess, now engaged to a Silver prince. Despite knowing that one misstep would mean her death, Mare works silently to help the Red Guard, a militant resistance group, and bring down the Silver regime.

But this is a world of betrayal and lies, and Mare has entered a dangerous dance – Reds against Silvers, prince against prince, and Mare against her own heart …

Let’s Talk About… Spine-Breakers

I feel so ashamed! I missed last week’s discussion post, and I’ve hardly blogged these past two weeks! *cries* Luckily, I managed to (somehow) find the time to write this week’s discussion post. Without further ado, let’s talk about spine-breakers!

Am I A Spine-breaker?

I’m not necessarily referring to readers who actually break the spines of their novels (ah, the horror!), but people in general who don’t mind getting their book a little roughed up. Do I fall into this category? Thankfully, I do not. I love to treat for the precious treasures that they are.❤ I will never add creases to my spine or bend a page if I can help it!

Top Ten Tuesday | Books I’d Give A Theme Song To

This weekly meme was created by the wonderful ladies at The Broke and the Bookish. This week’s theme that I chose is ten books I’d give a theme song to. I’m not sure about you, but I often associate books I read with a particular song. Not to mention a very long playlist when I’m writing a story (I’m pretty sure a lot of writers do this). Haha. So, here are a few theme songs I’d give to some lovely books.

10. Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card.

I am a question to the world,
Not an answer to be heard
Or a moment that’s held in your arms.
And what do you think you’d ever say?
I won’t listen anyway…
You don’t know me,
And I’ll never be what you want me to be.

And I want a moment to be real,
Wanna touch things I don’t feel,
Wanna hold on and feel I belong.
And how can the world want me to change?
They’re the ones that stay the same.
They don’t know me,
‘Cause I’m not here.

Tag | Book Courtship Tag

I’m trying to squeeze in this tag before tomorrow. Hahaha. I was tagged for this by the lovely Michelle @ Book Adventures.

1. Initial Attraction | A book that you bought because of the cover.

The Red Pyramid (Kane Chronicles, #1)

Well, to be perfectly honest, I don’t have the money to buy every book I like purely because of the cover. If it has a gorgeous over, as well as an interesting cover, I’m all for it! I did however, rent The Red Pyramid by Rick Riordan from the library without reading the summary. The cover is lovely! Haha.

Top 5 Wednesday | Books I Was Spoiled For

Top 5 Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Lainey @ GingerReadSlainey on YouTube. You can view her Goodreads group too, to know all the week’s topics. This week’s theme is the top 5 books I was spoiled for! I. Hate. Spoilers. I didn’t really get into reading until two years ago, so there was quite a few books I got spoiled for! Here’s the top five worst spoilers I had heard! (Yes, I know I’m a few hours late to post this, but I really wanted to. Hehe)

5. Allegiant by Veronica Roth.

Allegiant (Divergent, #3)

I’ve only read Divergent, and I wasn’t blown away by it. I’ve also been spoiled that a certain character dies in the ending, so I’ve lost a lot of motivation to continue with the trilogy.
